Introduction
Recently I have been dipping my toes into FPV Drone culture and life (First-Person View). Maybe it is the feeling of flight I crave, or the prospect of changing how spaces are used (and also filming skate clips :P). This rabbit hole led me to this video:
“Yeah, this is cyberskate.” I love this. The parallels between FPV-droning and skateboarding are incredible, and they can work hand-in-hand quite easily. In the video above, Vegan and Banana, two prolific flyers, show our narrator around New York and FPV culture. They hit up spots, they get kicked out, they find community with their hobby, their sport. It is beautiful. Making lines, doing tricks, and doing it for the love of it. I didn’t have much I wanted to say in this article, instead I was interested in merely cataloguing something I found invigorating. Love y’all, have a good day.
